Permanent Role – Monday to Friday and on-call rota
Salary: £38,500 per year + performance bonus of £10,000
Manager reward Scheme with additional earning potential
Location – 4 bedroom home in Stockport area
Essential Qualification – Children, Young People and Family Manager Level 5
Essential Experience – at least 2 years of working within a children’s home setting, plus 12 months supervisory experience in a children’s home
We are currently looking for a qualified Children’s Home Manager. You will be responsible for leading and managing one of 4 bedroom homes, overseeing the day to day operations and providing strong motivational leadership to the staff.

Our client’s Home Managers are responsible and compassionate leaders, decision makers and ensure continuous multi agency work between Care, Education and Health to support and develop all plans for the young people in care. You must be able to demonstrate:

  • Commitment to working with children and young people with complex and challenging high-end behavioural needs.
  • Leading and inspiring a staff team and take responsibility of their training, development, supervisions, and rotas.
  • Being a positive role model to the children and young people
    Delivering the Childrens Standards in the home
  • Previous management experience in a children’s residential home setting is essential, with the drive and motivation to always provide a safe environment for the young people.

This role requires patience, motivation, understanding, leadership, determination, and ownership. You will be supported by the Responsible Individual and Senior Management Team who will continue to develop your skills in this role.

Ideally you will have a therapeutic background and hold (or working towards) a level 5 in Children, Young People and Family Practitioner qualification. However, we may consider a suitably experienced deputy who can demonstrate they have 12 months supervisory experience and hold Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social care for Young People or equivalent level 4. You must be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required for the role.
